One of the often-overlooked wonderful American potteries that made stylish pieces is Cookson Pottery of Roseville, Ohio, in business from 1945 to 1987.

This is a wonderfully shaped planter from Cookson in good condition. It has 4 feet and a dramatic sweeping ridged form that draws attention to the base, much like Art Deco architecture! It measures 6.5 inches long, 4 inches wide at the rim, and 3.5 inches tall. It is a rich coral pink color.

This planter has one very small fleabite or light chip in the corner, as shown in the photo below right (orange arrow). There are light mineral stains on the inside. There are no cracks or hairlines or crazing that I can spot.

The base is marked CP-3806 USA.
