McCoy Pottery
Tiara Line
Green Pot #613

A lovely, richly defined green planter or jardiniere from McCoy Pottery, in the "Tiara" Line, shape # 613 (shown on page 185 of Volume III, Nissen, Hanson, Hanson, "McCoy Pottery"). It is a square-shaped pot with wavy edges and ribbed sides.

This medium-size pot is 4 inches tall, 5 inches wide at the rim, and 4.25 inches wide at the foot. It is in very good condition, with a solid glaze and nice detail. Most unusual, all four pointy corners are intact (no chips or flakes). The pot has the Mt. Clements McCoy MCP mark on the bottom, from the late 1960s to early 1970s. Price: $10.00.

McCoy Floraline
“Low Oval Bowl”
Model 476-8

This Nelson McCoy planter is identified as model 476-8 from the "Roseville Floraline" collection, and is called the "Low Oval Footed Bowl" from the 1960s and 1970s. This piece is finished in a very unusual shiny glossy green glaze. It is 8 inches long by 4.5 inches wide at the rim, and sits 2.25 inches high. This piece is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or hairlines. There is a bit of light glazing in spots, original to manufacture. This is a very solid, heavy, substantial piece of McCoy; it is clearly marked on the bottom "Floraline / USA / 476-8." Price: $10.00.

Bowl

Collectors' Favorite:
McCoy Brown Drip 9.25" Bowl

A terrific oval vegetable or serving bowl from Nelson McCoy's 1960s and 1970s brown drip dinnerware. This ever-popular McCoy style is the perfect complement for a country kitchen or a rustic lodge get-away.

The bowl is in very good to excellent condition. It is very well defined, with none of the manufacturer flaws (such as big glaze pops) expected from 1960s McCoy brown drip. It measures 9.25 inches across the rim, 6.25 inches wide at the middle, and the sides are 2-5/8 inches high. There are no chips, cracks, or hairlines, and only the faintest sign of any utensil marks or use. The bowl has a clear mark on the underside for "7070 USA / McCoy / Oven Proof." Price: $10.00.

Floraline

Nelson McCoy
Floraline 6-inch
"Pedestal Planter" #473

This is a terrific piece of McCoy's Floraline—the very elegant glossy green Nelson McCoy Floraline ribbed "pedestal planter," also called a "short ribbed urn," model 473 from the "Roseville Floraline" collection of the 1960s and 1970s. It measures 6 inches high from the base to the rim and 5 inches wide across the rim.

This vintage pottery has a wonderful thick glaze. It is in excellent condition, with no flaws or damage that I can find (no chips, cracks, hairlines, or crazing). It has some light dirt on the interior.

The under-the-glaze raised mark reads "FLORALINE / U.S.A. / 473"; this vase is shown on page 249 of "McCoy Pottery" (Volume III, Nissen, Hanson, Hanson). Price: $15.00.
