Beautiful Small Vintage Vase
f rom Czechoslovakia
Pearl Luster Design
with Black Handles

An very pretty hand-decorated small vase with two handles, elaborately decorated in a mother-of-pearl luster (lustre) glaze, in a diamond-like design. The handles and trim are glazed black, and the interior is plain white.

This gorgeous vase measures 4.25 inches high and 3.5 inches wide across the shoulder. It is in very good to excellent condition. The black handles and rim are very intact, with no signs of wear to the glaze or fleabites (shallow chips). There is no crazing that I can see, and no flakes or glaze skips.

The piece is stamped in reddish-brown with circle logo, which is only partly visible (mainly obscured by the glaze). I believe I can make out part of the words for Czecho-slovakia (I've also sold several other vases of this shape, which were more clearly labeled with the Czechoslovakia mark). There is also a red number 18. This vase is also shown on page 129 of the volume "Czechoslovakian Pottery" by Bowers, Closser, and Ellis. Price: $15.00.

Dragon Czech VaseBeautiful Scroll-Handled Vase
Dime Mark for
"Made in Czecho-Slovakia"
Orange and Green Trim,
Stylized Dragons

An extraordinary hand-painted vase, elaborately decorated with a pair of facing dragons in yellow, green, and orange, with orange scrolled handles and rim and green trim around the foot. The interior and backside are solid white.

This colorful vase measures just under 5.5 inches high at the rim, 2.25 inches wide across the open rim, and about 4.75 inches wide across the orange handles. It is in good condition. One scrolled handle has a bit of wear (a pinhead-size glaze flake or fleabite). There are also some pinpoint-size glaze pops that appear to be original to manufacture (very tiny). There are no cracks or crazing, and the hand-painted design is nicely colored.

The bottom has a stamped reddish-brown circle logo (commonly called the "Dime" mark) for "Made in Cezcho-Slovakia" with a dropped "C". There is also a stamped number 30. Price: $20.00.

Beautiful Inverted-Heart Basket from
Czechoslovakia
Golden Luster

An electrifying small inverted-heart basket , in a very golden irridescent luster glaze from the former Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). There is some wear to the luster finish on the backside, one very tight hairline at the rim (passes the thumb test), and a glaze pop on the top peak of the handle. Contact me for more pictures. Price: $12.00.
