Zanesville Stoneware Bulb Bowl

A very old, lovely planter bowl from Zanesville Stoneware Company of Zanesville, Ohio. I believe this is the Zasko glaze. This heavy piece is in good condition. It has some light flea bites to the chi-detailing (shown in the second photo), but no cracks or hairlines, and its design is very well defined. Price: $75.

Golden-Tan and White Glaze
Zanesville Stoneware
“ Stoneage Modern” Jardiniere

A medium jardiniere or pot from Zanesville Stoneware Company of Zanesville, Ohio, in a light golden-tan glaze with the white "icing" effect around the rings. This particular shape with the ringed glaze matches the "Stoneage Modern"pots of the 1960s (Zanesville Stoneware Company, by Rans, Ralston, Russel, pages 267-69).

This very-solid, rustic-looking pot is in very good condition; there are uneven spots and bumps original to manufacture (and typical ZSC). If you look at the right rim on the photo (at right), you'll notice the rim is uneven; it appears to have been smushed during manufacture (under glaze; looks like someone put their thumb on it!). There is also a small drying crack on the inside bottom edge.

This heavy pot is 3 inches high and 6.5 inches wide across the top rim. The partially glazed bottom has a raised mark 4105 ZSC. Price: $15.00.
