plate and bowl 10
inch plate, and 8.5 inch bowl, in beautiful conditon
Two
lovely piece of Paden City Pottery: a 10-inch plate and 8.5-inch bowl,
in lovely condition, with rich details in the transfer design. The centerpiece
of both is a flower bouquet, with morning glories, zinnias, daisies,
primulas, and other wonderful garden flowers.
Note
the lovely colors and fine design. The gold border is in excellent
condition. The bowl is marked number J-48; the plate is marked number
J-51.
The
bowl does have minor rim chips below the rim edge; the plate has very
minor flea bites, consistent with age and wear. Neither detract from
the beautiful display these two pieces make! Price
$10.00.

One Dinner Plate
A
very lovely dinner plate from Paden City Pottery. It apparently does
not have a name, but features vases of colorful flowers, sitting next
to a garden walk with stones and a trellis in the distance. (See replacements.com
item 74906 for description.)
This
plate is in very good condition. There are very light utensil marks,
and the decals are richly colored and unscratched. There are no chips
or cracks. The
plate is stamped on the underside with a Paden City Pottery mark, with
the number C-54. I believe this indicates a 1954 manufacture date (the
company went out of business in 1963). Price: $7.50.
