A very striking Purinton Slip
Ware bowl decorated with brown brush strokes with an incised
flower (see replacements.com item77221).
This large, heavy bowl measures 11-7/8 inches wide at the rim and sits 2-6/8 inches high at the rim. There is one spot where it appears there is a firing blemish. Otherwise, the bowl is in very good condition (no chips, fleabites, or crazing, and only extremely light hints of utensil marks).
The bowl has an incised underglaze mark that reads "Purinton / Slip Ware". Price: $10.00.
