Ridge / Southern Potteries Two hand-painted dinner plates from Blue Ridge/Southern Pottery, decorated with two dark red strawberries and green leaves and trim, in a pattern called "Wild Strawberries" (replacements.com item 7564). The plates are fluted or ribbed in the Colonial shape. Each measures 10.5 inches wide. These vintage dinner plates are in very good to excellent condition. There are no cracks or hairlines, and no crazing. The decorations are intensely colored and not scratched; there are only very faint hints of utensil marks. Both plates are marked with the Pine Tree mark, with the words "Detergent Proof / Hand Painted - Underglaze / Blue Ridge / Southern Potteries, Inc. / Oven Safe 16E."Price: $18.00.

Ridge / Southern Potteries: Two cups from the richly colored, hand-painted "Stanhome Ivy" pattern from Blue Ridge/Southern Potteries, decorated with dark green leaves and red berries. The Skyline-shape cups measure 3.75 inches wide across the rim and 2 inches high. They are in very good condition, with a hint of staining from use on one cup around the bottom rim, but no other flaws that I can see (middle photo at right). These pieces are not marked, but are clearly from the Stanhome Ivy pattern. Price: $7.00. Blue
Ridge / Southern Potteries A beautifully colored gravy boat in the very collectible pattern called "Sweet Pea," from Blue Ridge / Southern Potteries. It is on the Colonial shape, with a pink sponged rim accenting the pink and blue flowers and pointy green leaves. This vintage gravy boat measures 7.5 inches long from spout tip to handle end, 5.5 inches wide at the center, and 3 inches high at the top of the handle. There is one very shallow chip and hairline crack on the edge of the rim, so it is being offered "as is." There are no other chips or cracks that I can find, and no crazing or signs of wear. This piece is unmarked. Price: $9.00. |
