This hands-on
workshop is geared towards individuals, businesses and nonprofit associations
that want to learn how to use Facebook Fan Pages. Many Fortune 500 Companies
and nonprofit associations have Facebook Fan pages so they can enhance
their relationships with their clients/community.
The objectives
for this workshop are to:
- Understand
o The difference between a personal page and a fan page
o The difference between fan pages and groups
o The advantages of having a fan page
o The various elements available within fan pages
- Create
a Facebook fan page
- Establish
the security for your fan page and tabs
- Be able
to create links to articles, upload photos/video, create events, add
notes, etc.
- Begin
to acquire fans
At the end
of the workshop, attendees will have a working Facebook fan page which
they can use to enhance their brand on the internet and develop a 2-way
communications channel with their clients/community.
Attendees
to this class should:
- Have
an understanding of social media and social networking
- A clear
understand of the brand image that you want to promote
- Have
a Facebook account
- Have
a working understanding of Facebook
Things you
might want to bring with you are:
- A logo
for your business or non-profit
- A detailed
description of your company and location/organizational details
- Photos
and/or videos for your website
- One or
more links to articles, websites that you can put on your fan page
- A list
of your clients or fans that you want to invite as fans for your fan
page
Instructor:
Jean
Pickering has been in the IT consulting business for 25
years. Prior to become a software consultant, Jean was a high school special
education teach and was responsible for developing several training programs
for both her school district and non-profit organizations. Since becoming
a software consultant, Jean has always worked with cutting edge technology.
Besides being the President of The Tektite Group, LLC, she also runs the
BNC IT Group which is a group of IT Professionals in the Chicagoland area.
